Peter Kroehl

With his PHILIPPI product LOOP, Peter Kroehl has taken away three of his numerous Design Awards, amongst them, the Red Dot Award. In general, his products find recognition around the globe. This recognition certainly lies on his clear conception of good design: Peter believes a product should be self-explanatory, fulfill all technical requirements and be perceived as a balanced unit with dynamic proportions. In short: great formal aesthetics combined with technical innovation and durability = a Peter Kroehl design.

Which product did you design for PHILIPPI? And where did the idea for this design come from?
My product for PHILIPPI is the keyring pendant LOOP. I came up with the idea during an internship in a metal shop, where I wanted to create an individual keyring pendant for the key to my first car.

Which PHILIPPI products do you especially like?
The salt and pepper shaker set HUMPTY DUMPTY and the ANNA Teetering Bowl.

Which product would you look forward to designing?
A spaceship.

Which product would you have liked to design?
The Coca-Cola bottle, the 507 by BMW or the Jaguar E-Type.

What is your dream for this year?
To develop four great products for the world, together with my clients.
